On 25 October, the winners of the Ministry of Agriculture’s competition “Sower 2024” were announced at a ceremony at Mālpils Manor.
The winners were congratulated at the award ceremony by the Minister of Agriculture Armands Krauze, the Speaker of the Saeima Daiga Mieriņa and the President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs.
The Sower Awards have become the most important event for honouring Latvia’s best farmers, while the title of Sower is a sign of exemplary work.
We are really happy because “Sower” was also awarded to the Rāmkalni Recreation Park shop (SIA “Lauku Rudzupuķe”) in the Local Food Merchant of the Year nomination .
The Sower competition is an annual event organised by the Ministry of Agriculture with the aim of identifying the best contributions to Latvia’s rural development and agriculture, showcasing the possibilities of different forms of farming, encouraging rural people to clean up their environment, celebrating the achievements of the younger generation and promoting scientific knowledge, linked to a willingness to take advantage of the opportunities offered by European Union funds.
